It is another rainy day in Portland but I am determined that the weather will not get me down. I am starting my day with a positive attitude. My problems and challenges are still sitting at the kitchen counter with me, but I am approaching them with a bit of a John Wayne swagger mixed with a “win the day” mentality.

Happy happy Tuesday from Portland!
*Years ago at my sons’ winter swim practices there was a little girl who would chant “happy happy” when exiting the warm pool and walking quickly toward the lockers. It was 40 F and she had only her “happy happy” to wrap around her.
I have said “happy happy” many times for uncomfortable, scary or hard things in my life.
I lost track of that little girl. I hope that where ever she is today she is “happy happy”.

That is so cute! … wrapping herself in nothing but a “happy, happy” 🙂 With an attitude like that, how can she be anything but a winner 🙂

Thank you for the video reminder and I like the “happy, happy.” Today I will be “happy, happy” as I do the dishes because I have dishes to wash and shared the food that made them dirty with my family around our table. Thank you for the reminders!

Good morning, I do too when I can laze by the fire reading books. Sometimes though day after day of rain can be depressing with constant grey skies.

That’s exactly how I feel, when I’m at home I like reading books on rainy days but if I have to go out it sucks. Or if it rains a lot, I don’t like it.

I love being in a pool on a rainy day. There is something special for me to be immersed in water and have the raindrops falling on me as well. I enjoyed the Happy Happy blog. Yes, I believe we can ‘choose’ to overcome the surroundings by a positive ‘attack’ beauty or attitude.
