I found this shoe placed upright in the middle of a small park near a lake.
It was out of place. It made me wonder.
Whose glittery shoe is this?
A girl who stayed too late at the prom?
A modern Cinderella?
Perfectly placed, it could be a prank.
Or, perhaps something sinister?
There was mud on the toe.
Was its mate in the lake? Was the owner in the lake?
At the very least, the beginning of a short story?
