This is rather interesting because I never considered that women were ignored in the art world. We have beautiful paintings by Mary Cassatt, Berthe Morisot, Eva Gonzalez, Georgia O’Keefe, Frida Kahlo, Marie Braqumond (sp), Mary Peale, Rosa Bonheur….the art world is full of women painters. I’ll admit–not as many as men, but there are a good many of them.
Their works are displayed in all the great museums and local museums.
But also remember that many of the great artists LOVED women and their paintings showed the love that shone through. One of my favorite painters is Renoir because of the way he painted women.
Oh well, art, as well as our opinions, are subjective!

We love female artist and we like cursive at Gastradamus, but we would love your feedback on our stories even more. Please when you have the chance, check out ” The Bald and the Brestless” or “Hooters Favors Implants”. Your comments and follow would be greatly appreciated. Is that Catherine, what an incredible writer. She is missed at Gastradamus, maybe one day we will win her back over.
