Summer Nightfall in Oregon

The Pacific Northwest is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I am so lucky to live here especially in the summer.

The days are so long now.  It is a gift to enjoy the light.

Especially knowing that the darkness of winter is around the corner.

Evening Prayer

“Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.

Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love’s sake.  Amen.”  ~Book of Common Prayer (BCP)
