Lucky Me

Lucky me…

I get to work with a bully.

As if life were not challenging enough, feeling the heel of a jerk on my neck is beyond the pale.

The challenge is to maintain my professionalism at all times.

It is the only choice.

Being an older female in America is not easy.

Being in charge of my behavior and attitude is not easy either.

I must not cede my dignity.

This too shall pass.

    As an old, white man in America, I cannot know these things for sure…but doesn’t bring a woman in America at any age present cruddy challenges?

  4. Down under that bully’s shirt lives a heart. This one framed from a life of something that diminished him, left him in doubt, so projects it onto others simply because he is afraid and it is all he knows. He feels very alone with that anger, and a rejection as all around him are pushed away by that within him. Not a comfortable place Lori, but to disarm him you would have to ask him why he acts as he does ❤️🙏

      1. It is indeed a confronting thing, for both. And after your journey kind lady, it would indeed tax you past your limits so I truly understand that. It’s just that he will keep being ‘him’ and push those all around. It is a tiring place to be until he attracts that balance in a confrontation. I hope he isn’t the ‘boss’ in some way as that seems to feed the ego in that circumstance and makes it very difficult to do anything. I hope it goes well for you and he attracts a position as the door man away from everybody and give him time to ‘feel’ where his anger is at 😀❤️🙏
