All the little children…

There is nothing more to be said.  Now is the time for action.

The treatment of  the US government toward innocent, vulnerable children  is immoral and cruel.

Little children crying for their parents.

Parents heartsick not knowing when or if they will see their children again.

My friends and I are stepping up our involvement.

As mothers and citizens we can not stand by idly.  Any of us could be the mothers crying for our children snatched from us at the border or shot down in their classrooms or on our streets.

This is not the country we want for our families and neighbors.

The people seeking asylum are our neighbors. We can not turn our backs on them.

We will contact our elected representatives;  we will donate to agencies to help reunite the families; we will serve on committees and work groups to support the efforts to end this horrible situation; we will engage in conversation in a civil manner with those of opposing views; we will join our voices and actions with those who also are fighting this evil; we will march, we will protest, and we will vote.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
