Thank you Chip Bergh

My eight year old grandson fears being shot at school thanks to the recent and continuing gun violence in our schools.

He experienced two lock downs at his elementary school in Denver, Colorado this spring.

His school was closed when the Columbine copycat appeared on the scene and again when a shooting occurred at another school.

He is eight years old.

All the little children…

There is nothing more to be said.  Now is the time for action.

The treatment of  the US government toward innocent, vulnerable children  is immoral and cruel.

Little children crying for their parents.

Parents heartsick not knowing when or if they will see their children again.

Our dystopian world?

I was troubled by a recent article in the Florence, Alabama newspaper, The Times Daily.

I had to read it and digest it in the context of what it meant for the world that I live in now and the world that my grandchildren will inherit.

It left me feeling unsettled but determined.
