George H. W. Bush’s Life Code*
- Tell the truth.
- Don’t blame people.
- Be strong.
- Do your best.
- Try hard.
- Forgive.
- Stay the course.
“That was, and is, the most American of creeds.” *
Seven Actions
There are seven actions. One for each day of the week.
I plan to think about one per day as part of my daily meditation to see how I can be a better person.
Thank you, President Bush, for your service to our country.
*The list and statement from the eulogy delivered by Jon Meacham, Bush biographer.
I think, the most humanist of creeds. I like the idea of daily meditations on these actions.

Thank you for commenting. I think a little self-examination without going overboard would be useful as I start my day.
So, how are you doing? I’ve been off WP for a long time due to family demands. I hope all is well with you. Lori

Those “rules” are very simple, yet so important.
Hope you are doing okay, Lori. It’s been a while.

Thank you. It is so great to see you blogging once again. I have missed you. (Hope all is ok or still a time of heartache and struggle?)
G.W. Bush will remain in the heart of many around the world who was admired not just as the great American President he was but also for the caring, loving, supportive husband and father. He personified much of what is missing in our world today. I love the seven rules. Great indeed as a one per day contemplation point.

A man who loved a noteworthy life just by being fair and forthright. He put his family first – I like that quality in any person.
