“I will try this day to live a simple, sincere, and serene life, repelling promptly every thought of discontent, anxiety, discouragement, impurity, and self-seeking;
“cultivating cheerfulness, magnanimity, charity, and the habit of holy silence;
“exercising economy in expenditure, generosity in giving, carefulness in conversation, diligence in appointed service, fidelity to every trust, and a childlike faith in God.
ln particular I will try to be faithful in those habits of prayer, work, study, physical exercise, eating, and sleep which I believe that Holy Spirit has shown me to be right….” *

Yes, today was a good day to remind myself as it was a trying day. My daughter-in-law went to the emergency room. I was terrified for her because of her compromised immune system. After several hours she is home. We are all drained from the experience her most of all.

Thank you Lori. I heartily agree particularly when the things in your life are far from ‘ideal’. Choose to not let the circumstances dominate or take away from the potential in each day.
