I woke early to the sound of pouring rain.
I lay in bed for awhile enjoying the sound.
It was lovely, cool and dark.
Today, I am being extra kind to myself and to others.
Who knows what heartache, what sadness, what burdens others carry?
The news is not what we had hoped but we still go on with our lives.
I can’t do much but, what I can do I will do with love.

“Three things in human life are important:
the first is to be kind;
the second is to be kind; and
the third is to be kind.” *

*Quote by Henry James, an American-born British writer. He is regarded as one of the key figures of 19th-century literary realism. He was the son of Henry James, Sr. and the brother of philosopher and psychologist William James and diarist Alice James.

We are devastated that the second opinion agreed with the first. We were hoping for an aggressive treatment plan leading to remission.
Thank you for your kind words. I know you have been there. Love, Lori

I wish there was an *Acknowledge* button rather than a like. That is devastating. I’m truly sorry and wish I had more to offer than words.

This is not what I’d hope to read. I wanted you to know there was something more wonderful on the horizon. Your attitude inspires me and I’m sure helps to sustain your son and daughter-in-law and baby Mabel. I send prayers and wishes for healing to all of you.

Thank you. Even though she had a grim diagnosis, we were so hopeful to find a path to health for her. My sons and I walked this road before when their Dad died from cancer. Your prayers, concern and good wishes are much appreciated. Hugs, Lori

LOVE more powerful than kindness. Rain on the roof what a wonderful image of the unlikely sources of healing to the spirit. Having journeyed with the ones where cancer has taken them in to eternity and even the hopeless cases where a miracle did occur… I can only affirm that journeying with LOVE. Finding beauty in all you yourself can bring to the situation and prayers from all who will pray believing that even the impossible is possible with some cases. (no one knows why. Why do some see a miracle?)….The important thing is LEGACY OF LOVE. Big hug! Faye
