“Ring the bells that still can ring,
Forget your perfect offering,
There’s a crack in everything,
That’s how the light gets in.”
Leonard Cohen, Canadian Singer/Songwriter, Poet, Novelist
I hope we will soon ring bells around the world as we say goodbye to COVID 19.
I will receive my first shot tonight after driving for an hour to the pharmacy. Then, in a month, I will receive the second one.
I know that even with the immunizations, we will have to be mindful of the variants, probably wear masks and practice some social distancing for a long time.
It won’t be a perfect world.
But, it is great to glimpse the light at the end of the tunnel.

The gods must have been listening! My 99-yr.-old m-i-l is getting her vaccine tomorrow. Ours will still have to wait quite a while but we’re happy for her.

Just got my 2nd shot yesterday. Sounds silly, but i have been feeling hopeful all day. My heart hasn’t soared like this in a l o n g time. We have an administration that is serving the country with grace and dignity. And i feel hopeful…😊
