Brunch in the time of pandemic

What is better than a lazy brunch? *

My special friend makes all my favorites from creamy scrambled eggs, crisp bacon  to lox and bagels.  There are healthy servings of roasted or grilled vegetables, fresh fruit and to top it off, a chocolate croissant sometimes served with ice cream!  Needless to say, it is my main meal of the day.

Fresh flowers, a wonderful view and soft music playing.

Dining with my friend makes me slow down and count my blessings.

Even in the time COVID 19.

Especially in the time of COVID 19.

Peace,

Lori

*Not having to prepare or clean up afterwards is the icing on the cake!  (I do have food on my brain!)

Beeswing Restaurant

Quirky, fun, happy!

Delicious food!

It’s no wonder that Beeswing has become one of my favorite places for breakfast and lunch.

I like it so much that I have eaten there four Sundays in a row! Continue reading “Beeswing Restaurant”

Literary Drinking

Early church service at 8 A.M.

Brunch anyone?

This sign was in a restaurant in Whistler, B.C.  which was expecting a large tour group for breakfast.

I was glad to dine just with my friend rather than in a herd.  It’s all good!

Most days I have healthy breakfasts.

On some weekends, I splurge by enjoying a scrumptious breakfast with a mimosa. Or two.

Happy weekend!

Recently, Portland has lived up to its reputation as a rainy city! Sunday was no exception.  It was the kind of day that makes me want to stay home and read by the fire.  However,  I know that it is better to get out and do things.  Otherwise, the grey sky tends to color my thoughts and feelings. My Favorite Food Places

Disclosure:  In my work with AJP Northwest, I have the opportunity to visit many restaurants, bakeries, bars and food carts.  Many of the places that I recommend are clients of AJP Northwest.   However, I would never recommend a place unless I loved it.  It’s that simple!  Continue reading “My Favorite Food Places”
