I was glad to dine just with my friend rather than in a herd. It’s all good!
Most days I have healthy breakfasts.
On some weekends, I splurge by enjoying a scrumptious breakfast with a mimosa. Or two.

Nothing terrible is going on in my life. Just the usual.
I have felt like I am wading in deep mud.
Going through the motions.
I felt like I was pushing the river. Lots of effort. No return.
Just one more day and the week is over.

My friend Jane called me today.
We talked for over two hours about everything.
So, if the world isn’t right, it’s not because we didn’t do our best!
If only women ruled the world, right?

Thanks to Hollywood, I think of human sacrifices on huge altars.
The Aztecs wouldn’t win any prizes for goodness either in my world.
What can one say…
I was floored by my son’s request this morning.
It has been on my mind ever since. A heaviness in my heart.
I shared it with a couple of friends who were sympathetic.
These are the kinds of things that stop me in my tracks.

My typical experience with Chinese restaurant food in America has been vegetables and meat swimming in a non-descript sauce. No matter what I ordered. Even the egg dishes, the fried rice dishes or the noodle dishes all tasted the same.
Not much to write home about.
Needless to say, I was not one to seek out Chinese restaurants.
