She is warm and friendly.  She has amusing conversations.

She flutters from one friend to another.

She undoubtedly has hundreds of Facebook friends.

She finds no lasting joy in friendship, only the excitement of making a new friend.

Or, rather, making an acquaintance.

The Devil and Me

The devil is one of my oldest companions.

When I was a lazy child my Mother would scold me,

Faith Family Friends

All of my life I have enjoyed the comfort of my faith, my family, and my friends.

My faith has diminished and grown over the years as I deal with life’s ups and downs.

It seems as though a lifetime has passed since I started reading Orion’s Gift by Anneli Purchase.

Then, over a month ago, life was sweet and simple.

Now, adjusting  to the new normal,* I am finding my way back to some of my pleasures such as reading.

Reading at the end of the day is my “happy hour”. Continue reading “Orion’s Gift (again)”

Semi-Happy Day

I will take that without feeling guilty.***

Literary Drinking

Early church service at 8 A.M.

It was good to participate.

I left right after communion as I was emotionally spent.

Still adjusting.  Still coping.  Still grieving.  Just Walkin’ Continue reading “Literary Drinking”
